FitShow alternative · walking pad steps in Apple Health

Walking pad steps not in Health? That is the whole reason Waalk exists.

FitShow is the app that comes with most under desk walking pads, including the TOPUTURE TP7 and TP8. It is free and it controls the belt. In our experience it drops the connection, and what it writes to Apple Health is thin and hard to trust. Waalk replaces it on the same pads: a direct Bluetooth connection, recording from the belt itself, and a proper Indoor Walk workout in Health every time.

Walk free for your first 10 walks. Then one payment of AU$14.99, yours for life. No subscription.

Side by side

Same pad. Different outcome in Health.

FitShow observations are from daily use on a TP8 in 2026. If yours behaves differently, tell us and we will update this.

Switching

Three things to do on day one.

Close FitShow before you walkThe pad accepts one Bluetooth connection at a time. A stolen connection looks like a broken pad.
Put Waalk at the top of the Steps sources in HealthHealth, Steps, Data Sources and Access. Drag Waalk above the phone so pad walks win when both report.
Set your stride once63 cm is the default. Count 100 steps on the belt, read the distance, and divide. That is your stride.

Questions

The ones people ask before switching.

Do I still need the FitShow app?No. Waalk talks to the pad directly. Keep FitShow installed if you want its programs, just close it before a Waalk walk.
Is Waalk a subscription? No. Your first 10 walks are free. After that, one payment of AU$14.99 unlocks Waalk for life, with no subscription or renewals.
What happens after 10 walks?Recording new walks stops until you unlock. Saved walks stay visible and everything already in Health stays there.
Does it work with my pad?TOPUTURE TP7 and TP8 are verified. Most Bluetooth walking pads that use the standard fitness machine profile should work, including belt control where the machine allows it. The compatibility list is kept current.
Can my family share it?Yes. Family Sharing is enabled on the unlock.
